You may also choose to donate towards this worthy cause, by adding a donation amount at the checkout when you place an order on our website. Every dollar counts and your generous donation will help bring support, connection and hope to those who need it. At the end of each month we will post an update with the amount we raised & donated with your help.

FOOD BANK

The charity we have selected is FOOD BANK AUSTRALIA.
Amount Donated: $1000

Foodbank is Australia’s largest food relief organisation, operating on a scale that makes it crucial to the work of the front line charities who are feeding vulnerable Australians. Foodbank provides more than 70% of the food rescued for food relief organisations nation-wide.

Last year, Foodbank sourced the equivalent of 86.7 million meals for our 2,950 charity partners, providing food relief to more than a million people each month.

Their work makes a positive difference in the lives of Australians, with recipients of food and grocery relief reporting they feel less hungry, are able to focus and concentrate, are less stressed and more hopeful.

Foodbank not only plays a lead role in fighting hunger, but also a vitally important role in tackling Australia’s $36.6 billion food waste problem and helping the environment. Our food and grocery rescue operations last year saved 92.7 million kilograms of CO2 emissions.

MIRACLE BABIES

The charity we have selected is MIRACLE BABIES.

Miracle Babies Foundation is Australia’s leading organisation supporting premature and sick newborns, their families and the hospitals that care for them.

Every year in Australia around 48,000 newborn babies require the help of a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) or Special Care Nursery (SCN). 27,000 of these babies are born premature and up to 1,000 babies lose their fight for life.

For families, the experience of having a baby come into the world not as expected or planned is life changing. Without support, this overwhelming and traumatic experience can have lifelong effects on the emotional wellbeing of these miracle families.  It affects the entire family unit.

SHARE THE DIGNITY

The charity we have selected is SHARE THE DIGNITY.

Share the dignity is a women's charity in Australia, that works to make a real difference in the lives of those experiencing homelessness, fleeing domestic violence, or doing it tough. We distribute period products to women, girls, and anyone who menstruates who needs support. When someone is doing it tough, the last thing on their mind should be dealing with their period.

BEARS OF HOPE CUDDLE COTS

The charity we have selected is BEARS OF HOPE Pregnancy & Infant Loss Support CUDDLE COTS.
Amount Donated: $690

Many families experience the loss of their baby in Australia each year. It is an incredibly heartbreaking and traumatic time for parents - a time when support is crucial.

A cuddle cot is an invaluable support resource for bereaved parents before they leave the hospital without their baby. It is a cooling system that has been designed to fit within a small cot and lies beneath their baby. It enables families to say hello to their baby, keeping them close as they shower them with love and create those special memories they will cherish forever. Spending as much uninterrupted time as they need without the worry or distress to keep handing their baby back to hospital staff, is a gift for families before saying their final goodbye.
 
Each day in Australia, six babies are stillborn and a further three babies die each day before their first birthday. These figures do not include the precious babies who are stillborn before 20 weeks gestation. All of these families should have access to a cuddle cot.
